I thought that I had posted the famous Pumpkin Cookie recipe on this blog before, but apparently not...so here it is! This recipe was clipped from an issue of our church's children's magazine, The Friend, and it quickly became a family favorite, and then a friends-of-family favorite! And now I've discovered another frosting recipe to give us a choice! So here you go....
Adrianne's Pumpkin Cookies
by Vicki H. Budge
1 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups (1 16 oz) canned pumpkin
2 tsp vanilla
5 cups of flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1. Cream the shortening and the sugar together.
2. Beat in the eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla.
3. Sift the dry ingredients together, add to the mixture, then mix well.
4. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Frost when cool. (Makes about 5-6 dozen)
FROSTING
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1- box (1 pound) powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1. Mix all the ingredients together until creamy.
2. Frost pumpkin cookies. If desired, decorate with candy corns, chocolate chips, decorative gel.
CINNAMON CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
(I found this on a Pinterest recipe, and although it was fantastic on the pumpkin cupcakes, it was even better on the pumpkin cookies!!)
6 TBSP butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar (more, as needed)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 plus 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1. Beat together butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. 2. Add the powdered sugar slowly and beat until light and fluffy. 3. Beat in the vanilla and cinnamon. 4. If necessary, add more powdered sugar until the frosting is firm enough to hold its shape but still light and fluffy.

Pink Eye, Cellulitis and other Exciting Developments
The pharmacy at our local grocery store is getting to know us very well these days.
To begin with, the extended Mahan Clan hasn't had the greatest week of their lives. In the last 9 days, my son had a very terrifying incident at work, one of my granddaughters fell while running through the sprinklers and got an occult fracture(new term to me....)of her elbow, Michael is battling cellulitis and I spent yesterday afternoon in Urgent Care to get a prescription for pink eye. Oh, and the new iOS update for my iPhone won't load...but that's another story. (The phone is a 4s, and I am just afraid that iOS 9 is just too much for the poor little thing. Only 3 months until I'm allowed an upgrade...may that be the absolute LEAST of my worries!)
The kids are in charge of their own tales, although I can say that the boy is fine, the granddaughter now sports a bright orange "Bronco color" cast (she's 3 and requesting Denver Bronco things - her parents are SO proud!), and so far, the other children/grandkids are doing well. (Well, there is one highly emotional pregnant daughter, and a son-in-law who is recovering from surgery to repair his blown-out knee, but at this point, they're almost yesterday's news--although no less noteworthy!)
But the PARENTS!!! Good heavens, have we somehow angered the residents of Mount Olympus??!
Mikey's adventure started on Wednesday. He came home from work an hour early with his right earlobe swollen and sticking out at a right angle to his face. So we went to the ER. No bug bite, no allergic reaction (my guesses)....just a small scratch behind his ear that somehow got infected. Pharmacy trip #1. By the next morning, it had doubled in size and was oozing all over his pillow; so, while I headed to work, he headed back to the ER! He proceeded to spend his day off going back every 6 hours for IV antibiotic treatments. By the time I met him in the ER after work, he and the ER staff were on a first-name basis. Hey, I'm all for making new friends, but YIKES!
So, I made 2 separate trips to the pharmacy that day, and I think he went again Friday or Saturday (he's alternating two types of oral antibiotics now). Then it was my turn. I've been coughing/congested for a week -- my usual "Welcome Back to School and this Year's Germ Pool" event -- but on Sunday morning, when I woke up and opened my eyes, one of them wouldn't open. I had a Sunday School lesson to teach, so I got up and showered. After I got out of the shower, I actually looked in the mirror and Whoa! my left eye looked like it belonged to Marshmallow, my son's white rabbit! So I went to church, dropped off my lesson materials with my husband, and then went to Urgent Care. Aaand then - you guessed it - back to the pharmacy for drops and my very own antibiotic! I mean, it's like I was feeling left out or something.
And so I'm home sick today. Pink eye is not something you mess with. It's very contagious and I see 7 classes each day. I'm all for spreading the LOVE, but not the disease. I'll be back in business once I've been taking both for 24 hours.
Is there a quota to be filled here? Because if there is, I'm submitting that ours is complete. To whom do I turn in that form? I want it on the record and notarized! Enough already!
Have a nice day. And if you need to drop by the City Market North Pharmacy any time soon, mention our names at the bell and they'll attend you.

Mid-Summer Musings
It's July 8. I have been on summer vacation for 6 1/2 glorious weeks, with 5 or 6 left to go. It has been wonderful. Since my last post, Beau Sadler and Hunter Mahan have arrived. Beau came on April 22, and Hunter came on June 3. They are perfect and precious. I've been to Broomfield 3 times since then; first, to help when Beau came; second, to attend my last nephew's graduation, and third, in mid-June to stay with Hunter and his family for a lovely long weekend. (That was Frederick, technically, not Broomfield!). And I just got back from 4 days in Utah, spending the 4th of July with Holly, Eric, Lisa, Hondo and the girls. Michael had the holiday off, so I took the train from Grand Junction on Wednesday night (quite the adventure--it was delayed over 5 hours, so I didn't arrive in Provo until 2:30 a.m.!) and he drove to Orem on Saturday morning. We all watched fireworks together, BBQ'd several times, and just enjoyed being together!
I think I'm on post-trip letdown. I've spent today a little restless and perturbed. Oh, I got several things done around the house....that merry-go-round never stops....but I wanted something more. Don't you just hate it when there are projects you know you want to get done, but you have zero motivation to do them? That list is extensive. I should write it down somewhere and post it on the frig...maybe that will motivate me. Phhhhhttthttht.
Part of my problem is that my brain is starting to think ahead to the new school year. STOP IT! I'm sure it stems from the fact that I'm doing summer library every Tuesday, so my body never fully checks out of the facility. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love doing it, and surprisingly, it doesn't make me feel like I never left--I still feel like I'm getting in plenty of summer. However, I'm thinking ahead and pondering things like what kind of a display I'd like to set up for Back-to-School night, and how I can find a way to fund my book purchases for the coming year. Not much I can do to prepare for them now, so I wish my brain would put them on hold.
I should give a little update on the dogs. Josie is still with us. She and Viva had one more huge fight a few weeks ago, when Michael and I were both out working in the yard. The circumstances were similar to the Easter weekend brawl....two or more people out in the yard with them, and she just suddenly turns and attacks Viva. I had the hose (I was washing windows), but spraying them did nothing. Finally Michael picked up Josie by the skin at her neck and haunches and threw her over the fence into our neighbor's yard. So I went online to post a request for a new home for her. Squat. But here's the thing.....my niece Lily suggested a Facebook page for animals in CO that need new homes. Well, I posted a listing for her, but it was downright depressing. It is frightening how many animals are out there that need new homes. And maddening how many people use that page to further their own causes--some advertising their pet-related businesses, and some just climbing on their soapbox to judge those who are trying to do right by their animals. It was too much. I removed Josie's ad, and here she still is. I decided that we will just make adjustments, starting with not ever allowing the two of them to be together whenever two or more people are outside. We'll either put both of them in the house--Josie in our room with the door closed, and Viva in the living room--or we'll let one stay outside and the other inside. I'm sick of it. I don't want either of them anymore, but I can't find them new homes, and I won't have them put down. If there's another attack, however, I may change my mind, no matter how much the people at the vet's office try to convince me otherwise.
One last happier thought--I am thoroughly enjoying our Mahan Girls' Book Club. It is so fun to all read something together and then do a group face time to discuss it. I look forward to it each month. It's harder for a couple of them to get the books read on time, but it's so much fun to be sharing. I have bright, intuitive daughters, and it's a pleasure to listen to them analyze and express their feelings about the books. Another area where modern technology can improve relationships and help expand our horizons!
There. Are we good for a while? I think I am...now to go start that rackin', sackin', frackin' list of projects to get done before summer disappears........ wish me luck.

Diary of a School District Employee on Spring Break: Days 7, 8 and 9
Yep, here we are. As often happens in the saga of normal diary writing, there are just some days that get away from us, and before you know it, you have to condense the fun into one entry.
The reason this time is a good one. The Guzmans (Lisa, Hondo, Mo and Mara) arrived around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night, and the best part of the break began! My Mo gives the tightest hugs when we are reunited, and I love it! Mara warmed up quickly, too, and can say "Gramma" now (heaven!)!
So, Friday--
Kelli came down to spend the day with us, too, so we colored, got out Play-Doh (old and too dry), and just visited and visited. The major event, unfortunately, took place early in the evening, and had nothing to do with our guests. Lisa and I finally got a chance to head to Target to buy Easter supplies, while Kelli got the girls ready to go play outside. Right after they went out, Josie attacked Viva, and they began a huge fight. Kelli was a rock star...she instinctively grabbed a girl under each arm and fled to the house. Then she got out the hose and sprayed them, trying to break it up. She called us, but I told her to let them fight it out. This happened last summer while she and I were in Orem. Our neighbor called to tell me they were fighting, and she hollered at them but they wouldn't stop. I don't know what triggers it. Regardless, it continued, and Kelli called again. So Lisa and I abandoned our outing and headed home. By the time we'd arrived, Kelli had used the hose again and succeeded in stopping the fight. They'd worn each other out. Viva was bloody and traumatized. She wouldn't let me touch her. So we separated them for the rest of the night. It became obvious after an hour or so, though, that while Viva was outwardly the worse for wear, Josie had it worse. She was limping, and when we shut her into our room on her bed, she didn't move the rest of the night until morning. I was worried about internal bleeding. We certainly can't afford to fix that.
So, Saturday--
Josie didn't get up to go outside in the morning, Viva was feeling much better. I called Michael and we took her (Josie) to the vet. I intended to have Josie put down, but the gals at the vet talked us into a basic exam to determine her injuries first, before making that decision. I felt it was the least we could do. The exam determined that she didn't seem to have serious internal damage, so we brought her home with an antibiotic and some phone numbers of shelters/sanctuaries. She's doing much better now, but we can't keep her.
Lisa and I finally did our Easter shopping, and then Grandma and Grandpa Gray came down to visit and share an early Easter dinner with all of us. Kelli and Tyler are both sick, so they couldn't join us. It was such a nice visit, though, and a wonderful meal! They left shortly after dinner, and we set up supplies to color Easter eggs. It was so fun! Mo was delighted, it was just like magic for her when Lisa pulled out the first egg from the dye cup! So cute!
We got the girls bathed and to bed, and then Lisa and I put together the baskets. Hondo laughed at all the candy and goodies we got, but hey! That's the fun!
Sunday--
Girls woke up, came out and saw the Easter baskets. So fun! The Easter bunny got them each a cute little stuffed bunny, Mara latched on to the purple one right away! Then giving Mo instructions on how to hunt for the Easter eggs that were hidden in the living room was so adorable! She had so much fun finding them! Lisa and Hondo reminded me that I have had Easter with them every year. I didn't remember that, but I don't doubt it! It's just worked out that way!
This weekend was General Conference, too, but what with the doggie drama and guests, I didn't get to watch as much of it as I had hoped. Thank goodness for lds. org!
Sunday highlight...Lisa handed Mara and her bottle to me late in the morning, and my sweet girl fell asleep on my lap, so we snuggled while they packed and cleaned up. They left a little after 1...tugged at my heart, I helped Mara climb down the front steps and she toddled off toward her car, but then turned around and took a few steps back toward us, as if to say, "Aren't you coming too?" Sweet girl!
I took a lovely long nap that afternoon, and then Mikey and I snacked on leftovers for dinner. Then it was time to figure out what to do with the kids during library this week....and just like that, spring break was over.
I'm glad I didn't plan to travel, because I really needed this week home. Loved so much of it, and though I can't truly say I'm refreshed, I am at least a little bit renewed. Now I'm just determined to make the best of these last 6 weeks. They'll fly by, as they always do! A lot will happen between now and then, with the biggest event the arrival of Beau Michael Sadler! Jen's c-section is scheduled for April 30, and we are all praying that her blood pressure stays low until then!
The fun never ends..........
Thanks for listening.

Diary of a School District Employee on Spring Break: Day 6
Another lovely day. Thursdays are (usually) Mikey's days off, and so most of the year we do not get a day off together. Even during the summer, or on extended vacation days (like now, and Christmas), I am often gone, doing the Gramma thing, and so we don't have time together. Thankfully, this Thursday was the exception. And it was wonderful.
We were both fairly motivated to get some extra work done around the house, because Lisa, Hondo and the girls were due that evening. So, I tackled things like cleaning the stove top, the microwave, getting laundry folded and put away...while he vacuumed (he does a WAY better job than I do) and picked up dog doo in the yard. I did some mending on my jeans and fixed my Book Fair apron.
We each took a turn running errands...he did the bank, got prescriptions and fruit, and lunch. I went out later to get more ice (gotta have that Sonic ice!) and a DQ treat. Then we watched The Desolation of Smaug, and I crocheted more than I probably have in the last 6 months.
Dinner was delegated to Dominos, and then, at last, the Guzmans arrived about 9:15 p.m.! My Mo just gives the best, tightest hugs, and she and Mara were both so excited to check out Gramma and Grandad's toys. It's been about a year since they've been here at our house, so everything is new again!
What a blessed day.....time alone with Michael, and then a daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren!

Diary of a School District Employee on Spring Break: Day 5
Wednesday was wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. I stayed in my jammies until after 4 pm and didn't feel one little bit bad about it. Oh, I still puttered and did a few things around the house...a load of whites, washed some pots and pans, etc.
*Hung up these wooden craft projects, one that was a gift and the other that I made at a Relief Society function. I was actually pretty pleased that I had some leftover hardware to put on the backs so they could be hung.
*Crocheted some more on the endless afghan (it is referred to in several past posts, and yet never completed!) and watched Saving Mr. Banks. Did some Googling/Wikipedia reading on P.L. Travers....Disney definitely 'sanitized' this one as well, but in this case, I'm glad. She really was a miserable, cantankerous woman. It really is amazing that she created such a wonderful character. She really hated the movie, but as Walt was assumed to have said to her, "That ship has sailed". She wouldn't give movie rights to any of the rest of the books, but you know what.......that's OK. This one will always be my favorite, and a classic all on its own.
*Face timed with Stef about 4, she just laughed at me when she saw me in my nightie! So I did shower.
*Went to Target, spent my usual $100. (You know how they have dollar stores? Target is my $100 store).
*Michael went straight from work to meetings, so we ate late, watched a little TV and went to bed.
Moving on.............

Diary of a School District Employee on Spring Break: Day 4
I actually had to go back and look at which day I was on. It's almost like my dad, who's been retired for 20 years or so now..he takes great pride in the fact that he doesn't know, or care, what day of the week it is. Well, he does keep track of what day he goes to shoot on the archery course. Anyway, I'm actually at the point in my vacation that I have to stop and think about what day of the week it is...how fun is that?!
As for Day 4, it was so nice! Here's why:
*Ate a leisurely bowl of Cap'n Crunch
*Showered, etc.
*Headed up to Grand Junction: first stop, Kelli's house
Kelli and Tyler are in their last month of living in a basement apartment on the Redlands. They've just been accepted to rent a little duplex, also on the Redlands, but above ground and (Kelli enthusiastically notes!) with a dishwasher!
*Kelli and I drove separately to my haircut appointment, where I had my usual pampering and enjoyable visit with my "personal stylist", my brother's stepdaughter. She gives me the family rate, and I love my haircut.
*Kelli and I hurried to Chik-Fil-A for a quick lunch, then met my mom at the movie theater to see "Cinderella". It was Mom's idea, and I was happy to have my mommy take me to a Disney movie! When my kids were little, Mom loved having us come to visit, so she could justify seeing the kiddie movies with the grandkids! Well, she still does it....so what if the grandchild is 23 1/2? :) This type of outing is one of the best reasons Kelli and I have for living back here on the Western Slope. Quality time with my parents and my brother and his family is priceless.
*Kelli left us to go do laundry/grocery shopping, and Mom and I went to her house, where I finally got to meet the rat terrier mix they just adopted. He's about 8 1/2, they renamed him Coot, and he's a love bug. He worships my dad already, and they're so happy to have a dog back in their lives! The few months before they found this little guy were hard on both of them. My dad has never been without a dog in his life. This is a win/win for them and for that little rat (terrier).
*Had dinner with mom and dad, and headed back home. Again, any time I can just hang out with my parents is priceless to me. They're 76 years old, still going strong, but I don't want to waste any time that I'm given with them.
Thus endeth the Tuesday of spring break, 2015. On we go.

Bread Sticks
Boy, did my house smell good when these came out of the oven! Garlic and parmesan...........mmm, mmm, good! (My apologies to Campbell's soup)
Of course I had to post this picture on Facebook and taunt people with it...I was thinking mostly of my children, who know very well what these smell and taste like! Of course, when they were at home, we needed a double batch (although Mr. Mahan would argue that we STILL need a double batch--especially since these are already gone!)
Here's the recipe. Credit goes to my friend Shellie Schultz, who probably brought them to a church dinner oh, so many years ago, when we were in the Broomfield 2nd Ward family, and then graciously shared the recipe. Thanks, Shellie!
375 degrees 20 minutes
1 TBSP yeast
2 TBSP sugar
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups flour (plus more for kneading)
1 stick margarine
garlic powder
Parmesan cheese
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Add salt and flour. Knead lightly. Rest on floured board for 10 minutes. Melt margarine in 9 x 13 pan or larger (You see I use a cookie sheet). Knead out air bubbles, and divide dough into 18 sticks, rolled in buttered pan. Raise 20 minutes; sprinkle with garlic powder and parmesan (to taste!). Bake 20 minutes. Voila!
Told you it was easy! Enjoy!

garlic powder
Parmesan cheese
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Add salt and flour. Knead lightly. Rest on floured board for 10 minutes. Melt margarine in 9 x 13 pan or larger (You see I use a cookie sheet). Knead out air bubbles, and divide dough into 18 sticks, rolled in buttered pan. Raise 20 minutes; sprinkle with garlic powder and parmesan (to taste!). Bake 20 minutes. Voila!
Told you it was easy! Enjoy!

"Monday, Monday,so good to meee............." Well, it is when you're on vacation!! My Monday was quiet and relaxing. Here's the scoop:
*Actually showered and got dressed before noon
*Finished filling dishwasher and ran it
*Mikey came home for lunch and we enjoyed sitting down and watching "Love It or List It" during his break
*Made homemade breadsticks (recipe to be posted in the next blog entry), Hearty Harvest soup (a yummy Pintrest find), and cupcakes for our dinner and to take to a gentleman in our ward who is still recovering from a fall he took off a roof a couple of months ago. Needed to empty dishwasher, fill and run again after all that cooking!
*Ran a couple of errands..dropped off Mikey's only suit coat at the dry cleaners, made a small deposit at the bank to prevent overdrawing...you know, that kind of stuff.
*Checked Facebook and my Words with Friends games repeatedly....
*Facetime conversations with Stef, Jen and Lisa, all within an hour. Feast or famine...I'm home all day, but they're used to calling me after 4 when they know I'm home from work.
*A couple of Big Bang Theory reruns, and it's off to bed.
Thrilling, eh? I know, I know, you wish you were me.

Diary of a School District Employee on Spring Break: Day 2
And just like that, it's Sunday evening. Remember how I said that I love the Friday evening part of the weekend, when it all lies before me? Well, here's the runner-up--a Sunday evening when I DON'T have to get up and go to work the next day. Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............
Without further ado, my activities from Sat afternoon through now:
*DID scrub tub, DID shower and shave legs
*Got Taco Bell for lunch....I don't know why I torture myself. Our Taco Bell is infuriatingly slow. Two cars in the drive-through, nobody in the lobby, and I still put the car into park and checked email while I waited for my food.
*Hangout chat with my girls to discuss our Book Club selection this month. If you want to know how I feel about this month's selection, "The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out A Window and Disappeared", check out my review on Goodreads. The one I'll write tomorrow.
*Fixed french toast for dinner--this is notable only because it saved the life of our toaster. Yesterday I threw it away because it wouldn't catch and heat up. Well, I plugged my mini griddle into the same outlet to make french toast (I do love breakfast for dinner!), and it didn't heat up either. (LIGHT BULB!)--Sure enough, that outlet has a safety switch on it, and it had popped. So I pushed the button back in, the griddle heated up, and Michael went to the trash and retrieved the toaster. He even called me a genius. THAT needs to be recorded for posterity!
*Re-read "Holes" (by Louis Sachar). Every year since I became a school librarian, we have watched "Holes" during library time with the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. I started that because I was evicted from the library for the first couple of years that I worked there so it could be used for state testing. Not much else to do when you have library in the classroom, so I picked that movie. If I do show movies during library time, I tell the kids that I will only choose ones that started as books. "Holes" is perfect...it's funny, it's clever, sweet, and there's nothing I enjoy more than watching the kids' faces when all the plot pieces start to come together. SO, after watching it 12 times each March for the last 4 years, I figured it was time to revisit the written story. Still love it.
Sunday:
*Got up about 7:30, right after Michael headed to church for his meetings.
*Played on computer a bit
*Watched "Music and the Spoken Word" on the computer--it's one of the things I like about 11 am church, that I can watch that beforehand.
*Showered, dressed, etc.
*Ate some cereal, and remembered an hour later that today was Fast Sunday. I hate it when that happens.
*Went to church, my lesson went well. Stayed after for choir practice.
*Came home, changed clothes, went outside and pulled out the pool for Viva. Filled it. It was in the low 70's today--heaven.
*We ate dinner early, almost as soon as Michael got home from church.
*Plugged in the first Hobbit movie. I slept through about 1.5 hours of it, but at least I woke up in time for Bilbo and Gollum to play Riddles in the Dark. Pivotal.
*Crocheted on the Guzman afghan. This thing is monstrous, and feels like I'm NEVER going to finish it.
So there you go. The weekend is over. All weekends disappear as quickly as this one did, but I sure don't mind as much when there are vacation days ahead. Onward!

Diary of a School District Employee on Spring Break: Day 1
I got started on this blog life almost 3 years ago, when someone posted a fun question of the day blog challenge for a month. I was in Broomfield, helping my oldest after the birth of her 2nd baby, and figured --What the heck--I might as well jump on this technology train, too.
I've enjoyed it. It's been a neat way to share my thoughts with others, but mostly, with myself. So, today I decided I will chronicle my 2015 Spring Break. Entry #1:
I count my break starting from Friday night. Friday nights are the best, anyway, when you work a M-F job, because the weekend, with all it's possibilities, lies before you. It's magical. So I ate dinner with Michael, finally changed out the photos from 2013 that filled my collage frames in the living room (the 2014 selections are a few highlights from Powderhorn. It truly was the pinnacle of the year), watched a little NCAA Elite Eight basketball, and, when I got tired of that, came back to the bedroom to see what else was on TV. Nuthin. Had a nice chat with Holly, and then decided to surf Netflix on my iPad to see what looked interesting.
Winner: Sense and Sensibility. Someday, if anyone wants to have a "Book/Movie" chat about that movie, please invite me. I have lots to say about it. For now, let's just say that the actors are amazing, the story is epic, and Emma Thompson deserved that Oscar for best adapted screenplay. Oh, and then there's the interesting fact that at least 5 of those actors appeared in Harry Potter movies later on. Cool.
So now it's Saturday. Slept in (well, stayed in bed) until 8. Yippee! It's now noon, and I've accomplished the following: (not in order)
*Folded clean laundry
*Hung up laundry
*Washed CPAP equipment (I hate that job)
*Poured Drano down one of our bathroom sinks, then boiled a pan of water 1.5 hours later and poured it down the sink. Much better.
*Opened front door and several windows to let in spring
*Started new load of laundry
*Washed dirty pots/pans (Another of my hated chores)
*Threw away the toaster (it won't catch/heat up)
*Planned my lesson for Sunday School
*Watched my cute great-nephew on Facebook (Cathy's grandson)
*Made my bed
Huh. Looks pretty productive, laid out like that. Yay, me. But here's what I hope to do in the second half of the day:
*Scrub out my tub (I already sprinkled the Comet...I have to do that, cuz it MAKES me clean it before I can shower)
*Shower and shave my legs (TMI!?)
*Video conference with my daughters to hold our 2nd monthly Book Club chat
*Hang up the remaining Easter decorations (Guzmans are coming for Easter--gotta be ready!)
Having guests for the weekend, and Easter weekend at that, is going to be my main motivator for the week. Gotta clean for the grandkids.
Will this entry benefit anyone but me? Nope. But maybe, someday, as I'm reading old posts, I'll look back fondly on what I accomplished during this week. And hopefully, I'll feel just as satisfied with what I DIDN'T do, too.
And that's the way it was. Saturday, March 28, 2015.
